Is it really free?
Yes. No subscription, no “premium tier”, no selling your data. The stores pay us. You just earn.
Do I need to download an app from the App Store?
Nope. Torque Rewards runs in your phone’s browser and installs to your home screen like a regular app — takes 10 seconds, no App Store account needed. If you’d rather, you can also use it right from Safari or Chrome without installing.
What if I switch phones?
Sign in with your phone number on your new device and all your points, tier status, and reward history come with you. Nothing’s tied to the device itself.
How is this different from my credit card rewards?
Credit card rewards earn pennies back on everything. Torque Rewards earns you free coffee, snacks, car washes, and gas discounts at the exact stores you already go to — items worth $3-$20 for a few bucks of spend. Stack both and you’re double-dipping.
Do I have to show my phone every time?
To earn points at checkout, yes — but you can also just tell the cashier your phone number and they’ll ring it up on your account. We’ll ping you when you’re near a participating store so you remember to pull it out.
What about privacy?
We track what you buy at participating stores so we can reward you for it. That’s it. We don’t sell your data, we don’t track you between stores, and location is only used (if you turn it on) to tell you when you’re near a store. You can turn it off any time.
